Sewagecleanup
Sewage backups carry bacteria and viruses into floors, walls and HVAC. Contained cleanup and proper disposal protect the people who use the building.
DOSH
Not justwater damage
Sewage, sometimes called black water, contains bacteria, viruses and other pathogens. When it backs up into a building it soaks into flooring, drywall, insulation and anything porous it touches. Drying it out isn't enough: contaminated porous materials generally have to be removed, and everything else has to be cleaned and disinfected.
Alliance's crews are IICRC water-damage certified and OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER trained, so they handle sewage events with containment, protective equipment and proper disposal, not just extraction fans.
Extraction
Standing sewage and contaminated water removed and contained.
Material removal
Saturated drywall, flooring, carpet and insulation removed and disposed of properly.
Disinfection
Remaining surfaces cleaned and disinfected, then documented.

Sewage CleanupFAQ
Can sewage-soaked drywall or carpet be saved?
Generally no. Porous materials that absorbed sewage are typically removed and replaced, because they can't be reliably disinfected.
Is it safe to stay in the building?
It depends on where the sewage went. We contain the work area so the rest of a building can often stay in use, and we'll tell you if an area should be off-limits.
Do you work with insurance?
Yes. We document what was affected and removed, which helps with claims.
